Planning Process

Juniper Tours creates luxury custom, private European tours across 11+ destinations. Each trip includes hand-selected accommodations, private transportation, curated experiences, and a named travel specialist who designs and manages every detail — from your first consultation through your last transfer home.
We schedule calls so our specialists can give you their complete, undivided attention. It's the best way to understand what you want, answer your questions properly, and begin designing an itinerary that actually fits you. The consultation is free and takes about 30 minutes.
We recommend starting at least 6–12 months in advance, especially for peak summer travel and popular destinations like Italy, Ireland, and Greece where the best accommodations book up quickly. We can work with tighter timelines when availability allows.
Not at all. The best trips have thoughtful structure without being over-scheduled. We build in free time to explore at your own pace, rest, and be spontaneous. You tell us how structured or relaxed you want to be.
We design trips for solo travelers, couples, families, and groups ranging from 2 to 100+ travelers. Honeymooners, multi-generational families, friend groups, corporate retreats, alumni groups, schools — we've planned them all.
Unfortunately, no. We design comprehensive tour packages — we cannot book standalone hotel stays or individual day experiences. Our in-destination partner relationships are structured around complete itineraries.

Pricing & Payments

Most clients spend $5,000–$15,000 per person — trips start at $2,500. Pricing is based on your destination, accommodation type, transportation, number of days, and group size. Because every trip is custom, we do not have flat-rate pricing. We do not provide a cost breakdown by line item. After your free consultation, your specialist will present a complete per-person price.
A planning fee is collected after your consultation. Once your itinerary is approved, a 25% deposit of the total land cost is required to secure your booking. Any airfare booked through us is paid in full at booking. Your remaining balance is due 60 days before departure.
Yes. After your initial 25% deposit, you have until 60 days before departure to pay the remaining balance. We can break that balance into installments that work with your schedule — just let your specialist know.
Yes — strongly. We recommend purchasing travel insurance for every trip we design. We work with Travel Insured International to help protect your investment against cancellations, delays, medical emergencies, and unexpected events.

Destinations & Trips

We specialize in 11+ European destinations: Ireland, Italy, Scotland, Greece, Iceland, England and the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, and Switzerland. Every country we offer is one our specialists know deeply from firsthand experience.
We offer five trip types: Custom Private Travel (our primary offering), Honeymoon & Couples Travel, Private Group Tours, Guided Tours, and Private Educational Travel. See our Trip Types page for full details.
A custom trip is designed entirely for your group — your destinations, your dates, your pace, no strangers. A guided tour follows a pre-arranged itinerary in a small group setting with fixed departure dates and a professional guide throughout.
Yes — honeymoon and couples travel is one of our most requested trip types. We design fully private, custom European honeymoon itineraries across all 11+ destinations. No pre-packaged romance add-ons. No shared anything.
Yes. We assist with selecting and booking small-group guided tours operated by carefully vetted partners. Your specialist will help identify the best tour based on your destination, travel dates, and preferences.

Accommodations

We book 4 and 5-star hotels, boutique properties, historic castles, private villas, countryside estates, and select private home-style properties. Every accommodation is hand-selected by your specialist for your specific destination and travel style.
No — we do not recommend or book Airbnb for our clients. Our concerns include inconsistent quality and safety standards, unreliable customer service, and the broader negative impact short-term rentals have on local housing. The properties we select are vetted and accountable.

In-Destination

Every Juniper client receives local contact numbers for in-destination partners before departure — so you can reach someone on the ground immediately. Your Juniper specialist also remains reachable for anything that requires escalation.
Yes. Every Juniper client gets access to our travel app with offline itinerary access — your full day-by-day schedule, accommodation details, local contacts, and key information available on your phone even without cell service.
